The Department of Health Services (DHS) announced today a newsletter the public can sign up for to get direct information about the COVID-19 response and vaccine rollout. Every Friday, a COVID-19 update newsletter will be sent via email to people who sign up to receive it. Registration is now open, and archived copies of the weekly newsletter will also be available.
A COVID-19 Vaccine Connector Tool is now activated and ready to receive registrations from organizations and individuals seeking to deliver - and access - Phase 1A vaccinations. Hosted on healthyMKE.com, the vaccine connector tool is one of the first features of the website that is being developed to include an array of COVID-19 vaccine information, as well as related health resources. We expect that the full website with additional informational resources will ‘go-live’ next week.
The Wisconsin Medical Society joined with dozens of other state- and specialty-based health care organizations on a letter opposing a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs proposed rule that would allow virtually all non-physician providers (NPP) to practice without the clinical supervision of a physician.
