To help kick-off the farmer market season, today the Medical Society of Milwaukee Foundation donated $21,481.00 to Hunger Task Force and Fondy Food Center, two local organizations which provide healthy, nutritious food to the underserved. Each organization received a check for $10,741.00 at Fondy Farmer’s Market. The funds were raised during the Medical Society’s 2018 Awards Dinner on March 3rd, an event that recognizes exceptional community leaders who lead efforts on critical issues facing the community, such as poverty and hunger. Thank you to everyone who attended that evening and gave so generously!

Medical Society of Milwaukee Announces 2018 Award Winners

The Medical Society of Milwaukee County (MSMC) today announced its annual award winners selected by MSMC's board of directors. The winners will be recognized at the Medical Society of Milwaukee annual awards dinner on Saturday, March 3, 2018, at the Milwaukee County Zoo, Peck Pavilion. Read more.


The Medical Society of Milwaukee County was honored to be part of the Channel 12 Food for Families phone bank on November 22 benefiting The Hunger Task Force.  Joyce Garbaciak, Channel 12 News Anchor shared:  “Thanks to the volunteers from the Medical Society of Milwaukee County for helping staff our Food for Families phone bank today. With your help, we raised more than $146,000 to feed hungry families this holiday season.”  Special thanks to the following physicians for volunteering their time to staff the phone bank:  Dr. Andrew Kastenmeier, Dr. Marylyn (Lyn) Ranta, Dr. Don Lee, Dr. Mark Kaeppler, Dr. George “Chip” Morris.
