A Legacy of Leadership and Innovation:  Established in 1846, the Medical Society of Milwaukee County is an organization of physicians that provides leadership on critical health issues, such as prescription drug safety, to improve the overall health status of the community. Physician Networking Social

Posted on June, 20, 2018
While not quite sailing weather, nearly 50 physicians and their guests had an opportunity to network inside at the Yacht Club last evening while attending the Medical Society of Milwaukee’s Physician Networking Social! Physicians representing all of the area health systems had an opportunity to network, enjoy a reception, and win Summerfest tickets! The Medical Society of Milwaukee is enriched by its historic legacy of serving this community, creating partnerships, and celebrating why physicians became doctors in the first place. Thank you to all our physicians for your service and commitment to this community.

To help kick-off the farmer market season, today the Medical Society of Milwaukee Foundation donated $21,481.00 to Hunger Task Force and Fondy Food Center, two local organizations which provide healthy, nutritious food to the underserved. Each organization received a check for $10,741.00 at Fondy Farmer’s Market. The funds were raised during the Medical Society’s 2018 Awards Dinner on March 3rd, an event that recognizes exceptional community leaders who lead efforts on critical issues facing the community, such as poverty and hunger. Thank you to everyone who attended that evening and gave so generously!

The field of health care is challenging and full of rapid change.  But what is not changing in the essential reasons why physicians entered the field:  to act on a deeply felt calling to ease suffering and promote health, for individuals, families and entire communities.
