MSMC welcomes the involvement of all members including students and young physicians, and encourages you to contribute your voice. The EMS Committee is advisory to area hospitals and physicians concerned with emergency patient care. It acts as the medical advisory committee to the county government's Emergency Medical Service Council and the Emergency Operating Center, which has the responsibility for community disaster planning. The committee also responds to specific complaints involving emergency patient care.
The Finance Committee is charged with budget preparation, audit review, and ongoing financial oversight. The committee is also responsible for oversight of investments and review of financial requests.
The Grants Committee is responsible for establishing criteria on which grants will be awarded, evaluating requests and recommending grant awards for approval. The committee oversees reporting on programs of grants issued and evaluates those programs.
The Health Literacy Collaborative will improve the communication, interaction and coordination of health literacy services across the Milwaukee County community and will thereby increase the capacity of Milwaukee County to leverage external resources to meet the many needed improvements in Health Literacy.
The Membership Committee works to recruit and retain MSMC members. The committee also reviews applications for MSMC membership, investigates the eligibility of these applicants and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for acceptance/rejection of potential members. The committee is responsible for reviewing and adding member benefits/value.
The MMR task force is a collaborative of community partners that address immunization rates and issues in Milwaukee County.
The Nominating Committee is made up of MSMC members for the purpose of nominating candidates for positions on the MSMC Board of Directors.
The Milwaukee Patient Safety Collaborative is comprised of representatives from all the health systems in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties and are, in general, responsible for patient safety and quality reporting within their organizations.
