A Legacy of Leadership and Innovation

Advancing the impact of Milwaukee’s physicians is vital to our community. Physicians inspire hope. Their wisdom and expertise create solutions … and save lives.

The Medical Society was founded in 1846 by physician leaders who practiced medicine while helping to build the Milwaukee community and its traditions. Today, our 3,700 physician members represent all disciplines. They contribute to health care at the highest level, donating time, thought leadership and resources to provide access to those in need and working together to improve the health of people across our community.

We also also believe supporting the vitality of our physicians is one of the most important promises we can make.  In this fast-paced world, it’s hard to be a doctor. So, we offer bring our physician members together for fun, social and professional development programs.

Membership is open to anyone who is a member of the Wisconsin Medical Society. Learn more about Membership.
