GAMP -

General Assistance Medical Program


The Milwaukee County General Assistance-Medical Program (GAMP)is a county and state funded program which provides some health care coverage for low income persons residing in Milwaukee County who do not have access to traditional forms of health care coverage.

    Applicants must be:
  • A resident of Milwaukee County for at least 60 days.

  • Not eligible for, or receiving, any other medical coverage.

  • In need of medical services.

  • Within the income limits

Applications for GAMP are available at GAMP-contracted Primary Care Clinics and through emergency rooms in hospitals in Milwaukee County.
